 "Woodruff’s
Art Center Donates to the Avon Walk for Breast
Cancer
On Saturday, April 3, 2010 Amy Rice, owner of
Woodruff’s Art Center presented a donation to
Lisa Horton for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.
Woodruff’s hosted a benefit art show titled
“Give the Season” in December 2009 to raise
money in memory of Horton’s sister, Barbara
“Bambi” Warren, who passed away from breast
cancer in September 2009. Artists Neil Collins,
Lisa Horton, Joan Ledwith, Rebecca O’Donnell,
Richard Pawlak and Candice Ronesi donated a
percentage of their proceeds, as did Woodruff’s
Art Center. Horton, an employee of Woodruff’s,
is raising money for the Avon Walk for Breast
Cancer, a 39.3-mile walk in Boston. She walked
in honor of her sister this May."
